The release candidate 2 is now available for download on this site from the download area. It will followed by being available on Github as well.
The main change in this version is the extending on the forcing of the password change after a specified number of days. Previously the only date to work upon was the 'last visit date' which is not really very helpful. This release candidate saves in the database, details of the date of the last change. When initially configured the registration date of the user is used as the starting point.
One other useful feature is that the 'old' password of the user is also saved. This means that when the user changes their password it is checked against the previous encrypted version to ensure that they are different. The user is continually prompted to choose a different password until they do so and it is changed.
Note that it is currently not possible to prevent the user from making two changes in quick succession and in this was reusing the first password again. It is only the 'last' password that is saved.

Please let me know if you encounter any difficulties.

A slight delay was expected due to a problem with daylight saving time impacting on the checking of dates. Joomla itself doesn't support DST and the underlying database does, hence the discrepancy.
