Geoff,

As you know, we have created the "issues" with the project, which are by themselves "role" or group, I would like the group involved in the creation of "issue" XZ example, receive a notification each.

Thanks,

At the current time there is no easy way to achieve this. It involves the definition of groups.

ie. We would need to define a project group to which we assign a number of individuals, then add a check as to whether the group should be sent emails. Presumably we also would need in each person assigned to the group the ability to specify whether they receive notifications for that group.

Similar to the way in which the assignee (or admin users) are sent notifications currently. [But the assignee is a single individual of course.]

I have another request to control which projects a person can raise issues against. Similar to your original change but using only the one menu item. This request has certain change similarities and it is currently being investigated to determine the best way to implement it.

These are not trivial changes to done quickly. Would need new forms, additional table fields, and probably a new table (or two) etc. [Might be able to use current 'user groups' but it could be a bit messy. Either way it needs osme careful though first.]

I think it is a useful feature to have and will look into implementing it, only I cannot give any guide (currently) as to when it would be completed.

Regards
Geoff

Hello Geoff,

Or is the code for this action?

I'll get with you because I need :)

It seems to me that it could be so complicated, I must ensure that all members of the group or role menu linked to receive the notification.
And it's true, you could add a check mark at the creation of the menu why not ...
