One more question, when you install the sample data gives this error:

Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`alpha`.`lvncp_it_issues`, CONSTRAINT `lvncp_it_issues_identified_by_fk` FOREIGN KEY (`identified_by_person_id`) REFERENCES `lvncp_it_people` (`person_id`)) SQL=CALL lvncp_add_it_sample_data

Wait...

Hi,

I just found out, that it is a browser problem!
Usually I work with Chrome.
I just tested IE9, Firefox and Opera and discovered, that in all of these browsers it works absolutely perfect...

So at least a workaround... unfortunately no solution but a new hint for you. ;-)

Regards Chris

That is a ray of light. I always work in Firefox and test with IE.

Seems like I need to add Chrome to my list. I have downloaded it but not really used it so far.

Question is why should a browser impact Joomla talking to the database.

Very strange. Seems Carlos is using Chrome as well.

Now at least I have a chance to duplicate the problem and get a resolution.

Thanks to all.

I have just duplicated the problem with Chrome.

I have isolated the problem and know the cause. Chrome is objecting to a regex expression. The same expression inuse in all failing views. Now to rewrite the regex.
