Issue Tracker release 1.6.9
Shortly after the release of Issue Tracker 1.6.8 we were made aware of a couple of problems, which whilst not necessarily classed as 'critical' as considered sufficiently annoying as to warrant a new update.
The first was accidentally introduced when we resolved another problem. The problem occurs when a person who has raised an issue edits the issue upon the front end, such as to add or correct supplied information. When the issue is saved the issue assignee, i.e. the person assigned to work the issue, is not sent an update notification even if they are configured to receive one.
A second identified problem concerned the use of custom fields, such that if any issue was making use of access levels to control the display of custom fields, whilst the fields seen were displayed correctly driven by the configured access levels of the viewer, upon saving of the issue, any information associated with 'unseen' custom fields would be 'lost' from the issue.
A third 'feature' which was not implemented, was to use access levels to control the display of custom fields in notification templates. The code restricted control solely to 'Registered' and 'Public or Guest' access levels. This restriction is raised in this latest release and access control levels are checked for each custom fields against the levels configured for the email recipient.
None of the above caused information to be seen that was not permitted. Whilst upgrading to this release is optional, the first is sufficiently annoying to make it worthwhile.
