Frequently asked questions are listed questions and answers, all supposed to be commonly asked in some context, and pertaining to a particular topic. "FAQ" is usually pronounced as an initialism rather than an acronym, but an acronym form does exist. Since the acronym FAQ originated in textual media, its pronunciation varies; "fack", "faak", "fax", and "facts" are commonly heard. Depending on usage, the term may refer specifically to a single frequently asked question, or to an assembled list of many questions and their answers.

We include here links to a number of FAQ's related to Joomla components that we create and support. To access the FAQ, click on the required link below:

Versioning

For transparency and insight into our release cycle, and for striving to maintain backward compatibility, our Joomla components will be maintained under the following Semantic Versioning guidelines as much as possible.

Releases will be numbered with the following format:

<major>.<minor>.<patch>

And constructed with the following guidelines:

Breaking backward compatibility bumps the major (and resets the minor and patch)
New additions without breaking backward compatibility bumps the minor (and resets the patch)
Bug fixes and miscellaneous changes bumps the patch

Release Schedule

The presence of a possible bugfix release in the following table does not indicate that it will occur, that decision will be based on whether there are any major fixes to apply.
