Speeding up Firefox 5

Found this which may be useful.  If you are not sure then don`t bother, but everything here can be set back to normal if needed. Just make a note somewhere of the default settings as well as the changes you have made.

Type in about:config in the main search bar, click through the warning that appears, then enter pipelining in the search bar at the top which will take you to the settings you need. After that make these changes -

Changed -
Config name: network.http.pipelining
Default: False
Modified value: True

Config name: network.http.proxy.pipelining
Default: False
Modified value: True

Config name: network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Default: 4
Modified value: 30

Config name: network.http.max-connections
Default: 30
Modified value: 96

Config name: network.http.max-connections-per-server
Default: 15
Modified value: 32

Then right click in an empty space anywhere in the about:config window, choose - New > Integer and put this in -
nglayout.initialpaint.delay
Set value at 0

I think you`ll find a difference.
