Hi,

I am exploring on creating a menu "My Ticket" to link to the Single Person List who logged in. Not sure if it is possible but I stumbled on one issue whereby the "Select Person" option is disabled.

The menu can be created without the person name but error will display on the page

Trying to get property of non-object in C:\xampp\apps\joomla\htdocs\components\com_issuetracker\views\itpeople\tmpl\default.php on line 27

Probably one of the least used parts of the code. I can see where the non-object is coming from, just not sure how it ever got to that situation in the first place.

Certainly the 'select person' option should be mandatory not disabled. Will look into it.

It is certainly possible to create the menu item with no person specified. This would be possible if for example there were no 'people' with the published flag set. There would be no entries in the select list.

I have made a couple of changes. First the field is/will be made mandatory and even if that fails, there is a further check added to the person view such that a message 'no person found' is given, if an attempt is made to access a person record and none is found.

These will be in the 1.6.3 release when it is finalised.

You are certainly finding some obscure bugs, for which we wish to thank you. It just goes to show that people tend to use software in well trodden routes. This particular problem has been there for two years (at least) and never reported/seen. Keep them coming!

Hi Chrisc,

Lol~ I am actually exploring if I can use Issue Tracker and install it in my company's Intranet. Thus testing all the options.

Issue Tracker is a good tool! Thank you for the great work and effort.

About the Single Person Option, will you consider including the option to display the person who "login". User would find this link useful.. they can immediately find the tickets they submitted in this link. Like this forum, you have the "My Topics" Tab in which I find it so useful~

Once again, thank you.

There is a menu option for the issues list 'show own' which is intended for 'registered logged in users' so they can see their own issues list.

It may do what you want it to do.
