Width of text area boxes in Issue Creation Form

Whilst investigating the use of JForm 'Text Area' box widths we thought we would share a fix for the 'width' text area boxes for the Summary and Description fields.

By default the 'textarea' boxes with Bootstrap based templates seems to be restricted to a width of about 206px and do not make use of the full width of the available area.

We can change this by changing the file site/components/com_issuetracker/models/forms/itissues.xml. Find the sections that relate to the 'issue _summary' and 'description' fields.

Within each of the definitions add the line (just after the field def line):

class="inputbox textarea-span"

The important bit is the textarea-span after the inputbox. Then refresh the site input form and the boxes should expand over the full width.

This is shown in the diagram below using the 'Protostar' template.
